Why We MUST Have COMPLETE Proteins to Stay Alive and Healthy
Posted March 21st, 2013 by mbakkerOur digestive system breaks down all the proteins we eat (complete and incomplete) into their many individual amino acids (building blocks) so that they can enter the bloodstream, re-assemble into new unique proteins of many complex configurations (including enzymes and other life-essential molecules and go to where they are needed - to repair, maintain and sustain. Cells need more of these during times of physical and emotional stress, illness, injury shock, trauma or surgery.
Your Destiny and You
Posted January 24th, 2013 by thwangfsdesignIn Chinese metaphysical studies, the concept of Heaven, Earth and Man are intricately entwined together. We can look at the whole picture by their effects on our Path of Life. We can study the Heaven effect with the Four Pillars of Destiny, the Earth effect with Feng Shui, and the Man effect with Yijing (I Ching).
PROTEINS - are we getting enough - and correctly combined?
Posted September 27th, 2012 by MerrieBakkerHello Everyone,
Too many clients I see for Live Blood Analysis are lacking some serious basics - our normal food supply is more and more depleted and causing lack and sometimnees our choices are limiting. Also, more and more smart-sounding, seductive, self-serving nutritional mis-information is floated about on the internet.

The Limitation Chronicles - PERFECT!, HEARTBREAK REVISITED, What Is Real?
Posted September 26th, 2012 by lesliekleimanChapter Forty-five - The Limitation Chronicles - PERFECT I had a perfect relationship with someone last week. It lasted 3 hours. The connection was perfect, the fun was perfect, the excitement was perfect, the conversation was perfect, the kissing was perfect, even the ping pong was perfect. The experience was perfect and it was complete. I did not realize the significance of the experience until my show today on News For The Soul when I was encouraging one of the callers, our friend, Pam, to pause for the perfection of a moment we were sharing.

Posted June 23rd, 2012 by Merrie Bakker B...Reducing our body’s burden of heavy metals, stored chemicals and nonmetallic toxins is a critically important factor in restoring health and vitality for all of us - toxic individuals, people with chronic illnesses, people fighting serious diseases and all of us who wish to improve such important things as energy levels, brain clarity, longevity and prevention.
Hypnosis for Weight Loss
Posted June 22nd, 2012 by Christine Night...WEIGHT LOSS ~ For weight loss, generally, we start with one session a month until changes have begun, then one session a week. Safe weigh loss is 2 to 3 pounds a week maximum. Motivation to exercise, a change in one’s own perceptions re what and how much to eat, overcoming emotional triggers, may be involved.
Healing for Miscarriage or Pregnancy Termination
Posted June 22nd, 2012 by Christine Night...Many of my clients have issues relating to their past experience of miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, early infant death, ectopic pregnancy etc. Sometimes their concern is that they have had one or more miscarriages and are worried about ever being able to carry a baby to term. Or they may have had a termination and are unsure whether they are `meant to have a baby`. Either circumstance may lead to lingering guilt or other health effects.
Contacting the Departed
Posted June 22nd, 2012 by Christine Night...For years, as an alternative therapist, I resisted the idea of asking for messages from departed loved ones on behalf of my clients. I felt one ought to respect the privacy of those who were in another realm and presumably had important things to deal with. However I came to understand after many unsought-for experiences, that it was not nescessary to worry about that. Messages seemed to come when I was doing a Reiki session with a client or contact.

Sweeter & Sweeter - It's Okay with These Sugars
Posted May 2nd, 2012 by Merrie Bakker B...What if there were a natural substance that had no calories, was sweeter than sugar, and did not cause any of the health problems associated with sweet foods? What if, moreover, this substance actually had health benefits, containing numerous beneficial minerals and antioxidants? Many people might assume that this magical sweetener was too good to be true, but there is a real substance, by the name of stevia, that actually fits this description. You have probably heard of stevia by now; tasted it; but many people still have misconceptions about what it is, exactly.
Spring! Clutter Clearing with Focus
Posted April 20th, 2012 by mbakkerThe Focused Work - Our thoughts create a large part of our reality and set the tone for our emotions. What we think, what colours our thinking, what massages our thought outcomes, what emotions well up or prevail and how we deal, modulate and embrace them are constant activities that we are engaged in - consciously and often not so consciously. There is no better place to begin to creatively control this process than at home - starting with crossing the threshold - new opportunities to support or shift personal patterns and conditions.
Simple, Effective, Elegant, Band-aid Remedies for Geopathic Stress Faults.
Posted March 13th, 2012 by mbakkerWe hear a lot about excessive unhealthy EMF's, geopathic stresses, radiation, etc. These terms are often interchanged in articles and conversations regarding the unseen deleterious forces in our environment: "radiation" from smart meters, cell phones, microwave towers, one's neighbor's satellite dish, even our kitchen appliances, etc, as well as solar flares, the shifting magnetic North, geopathic stress faults, underground water pathways and disrupted energy lines from grids such as the Hartman grid.
Intuitive Painting and the Creative Process
Posted February 23rd, 2012 by Anita NairneCreativity comes from within. Yearnings can never be satisfied from outside. Within us is a bottomless well of inspiration, our source of originality - who we are. Once we open to our creative process, other blocks in our lives will also move. Within each of us lies an artist waiting to be discovered/uncovered. Our inner child needs to communicate through the creative process.
Homeopathy for Past Birth Trauma
Posted February 19th, 2012 by sfhomeopathSince working with mothers and children in homeopathy, I’ve come across a large group of people that have experienced birth trauma, either as the mother or child. Often what affects one will affect the other. In her book, Origins, Annie Paul describes monitoring of the pregnant mothers’ physical bodies at rest (via headphones and eye covers) and their childs’ affect on their mothers when they startle the babies externally with noise. The mothers’ body shows the spike in biological markers to the fetus’ response.
Power of Forgiveness and Reconciliation
Posted February 13th, 2012 by Sandra LewisGRAHAM Snyder is, by his own admission, not a dynamic speaker. And yet when he walked to the podium as keynote speaker for Conflict Resolution Network Canada's conference this June in Winnipeg, a respectful and anticipatory silence descended upon the packed room. And for the 45 minutes or so that he took to tell his story, no one stirred, no one left, no papers were shuffled, no chairs scraped, no coughs, no whispers.
Using EFT on Autism With Dramatic Results
Posted January 3rd, 2012 by Sandra LewisFor those of you who haven’t heard of EFT, it stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, and is what we call an energy-based meridian therapy. There are several different meridian therapies in use, but EFT is by far the most widely used, embraced by psychiatrists, psychologists, medical doctors, life coaches, and lay people around the world who use it for everything from physical aches and pains to the worst childhood traumas.
Pesticides and Depression
Posted November 28th, 2011 by Sandra Lewis“More than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. The other, to total extinction. Let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly.” -Woody Allen
Like Woody Allen, we can all feel sometimes as though the available options in life are bad, and worse. The world seems complicated, and every day we hear about something else that isn't good for us. But it is possible to cut through all the distorted information out there, and come up with some basic truths.
Conflict Resolution, Part Two
Posted November 28th, 2011 by Sandra LewisIn the first part of this series, I gave you a short history and outline of the burgeoning field of conflict resolution. One of the main points I made was the belief by conflict resolution theorists, that conflict is not necessarily a bad thing. It can drive people to accomplish goals they might never attempt. It can get the attention of power elites that might ignore just and reasonable demands.
Conflict Resolution - part one
Posted November 28th, 2011 by Sandra LewisTo understand what we mean by the growing field of Conflict Resolution, it helps to understand a little about conflict itself. Generally, within the field, it is assumed that conflict is always the result of frustrated needs, that is, one or more parties not getting their needs met. They may not be universal needs, and various parties to the conflict may disagree about the worthiness of those needs, but nevertheless, I challenge you to find a single conflict where unmet needs are not involved.
SEE YOURSELF UP CLOSE! B12 Deficiency; it's Many Masks; Supplement and Proper Test Details
Posted November 23rd, 2011 by Merrie Bakker B...As I was putting together this article on B12, I thought I’d share my motivation. I see so much B12 lacking in everyone that I has an LBA session with me (live blood analysis) - almost an epidemic... And not all of this deficiency is for the same reason.
SUGARS: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Posted November 1st, 2011 by Merrie BakkerA little documentary inspired this article: "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World" http://video.google.co/videoplay?docid=-6551291488524526735#. The chemical sucralose, marketed as "Splenda", has replaced aspartame as the #1 artificial sweetener in foods and beverages. Aspartame has been forced out by increasing public awareness that it is both a neurotoxin and an underlying cause of chronic illness worldwide.
Despachos: Offerings To Mother Earth
Posted October 19th, 2011 by Machu Picchu Ad...In Peru, making sacred offerings to mountain spirits and Mother Earth is one of the oldest traditions of this ancient culture. These despachos are meant to bring balance and are ultimately acts of profound love. The unity and interconnectedness among all beings, elements, spirits and sacred places is represented in a properly made despacho. When we have had despacho ceremonies performed for the guests we have taken to Peru, they have reported an improvement in the flow of their lives and even better health. So what exactly are despachos?
Shamanism in Modern Peru
Posted October 18th, 2011 by Machu Picchu Ad...Shamanism Is Alive and Well in Today's Peru ~ While it is difficult to make generalizations about exactly what any modern shaman believes because there are so many religious and cultural influences at play in today’s Peru, these ancient medicine men and women are as powerful a force in modern life as they were millennia ago. Even more significantly, they are accessible to you when you visit the country.
Swine Flu and You
Posted September 22nd, 2011 by sfhomeopathLately we've all been hearing about Swine Flu. Many numbers and facts have been bandied about, but in truth, most are only guesses. Since working in a clinic in San Francisco, most of the people I see come in the door are relatively poor, working class. I've seen people march in there with all the same symptoms of the Swine Flu for the last 6 months. Almost always, they march right back out again, feeling much better, if not 100%. If they're not feeling much better, they have an additional remedy to take if they feel they're not significantly down the road to recovery.

Menopause Symptoms Wiped Out!
Posted September 17th, 2011 by sfhomeopathIt’s about time I address the issue of menopause. Many women call or come in to my office with problems associated with the end of menses. Menses in homeopathy is very close to the vital force; although we can live without reproducing (as in the decision or event we do not have children, or the loss of female reproductive organs through hysterectomy), it is part and parcel of whom we are, and changes our bodies monthly with the onset of puberty until menopause.
Good Sleep

There’s nothing like crawling in between two cool sheets and falling into blissful slumber. Maybe it’s been easy for me because I keep so busy during the day that it’s never been a problem. I feel for those that have trouble. There are many things you can do to improve sleep. No, not smoking pot!
Questions About Distant Healing You Were Afraid to Ask...
Posted July 24th, 2011 by Merrie Bakker B...Have you ever wondered how people can claim to send distant healing energy? And really wondered how this can be done when all the healer has is a first name and initial and maybe a city somewhere close by or far away? Can these claims be real? Why not just send healing with just initials or no name at all?
Oxygen and Ozone Therapies
Posted July 16th, 2011 by mbakkerOxygen and ozone therapy is a term for a number of closely related therapies that promote healing by introducing oxygen into the body in a variety of ways. Ozone is an activated form of oxygen. Oxygen is O2 whereas ozone is O3. Over a period of 20 to 30 minutes, depending on temperature and situation, ozone breaks down into two atoms of regular oxygen - O2 and one atom of singlet oxygen O. This single O is a reactive oxygen atom.
